Episode 9: The Cork

In Episode 9, artists Adam Holtzinger of Keep Brooklyn and John Brekke help Andy Stenerson of Andy Stenerson Studio fabricate a custom lighting project. Here they are flattening a bubble using a wood panel covered in cork to avoid scarring the glass. In Episode 44, we feature this incredible program that was founded by AnnettevRose Shapiro (@annetteroseshapiro) at UrbanGlass. The Bead Project is a scholarship program designed for creatively inclined, economically disadvantaged women. During the semester long program, students learn the art of glass beadmaking, jewelry fabrication, and entrepreneurial skills to develop a business plan with their new skill set, all while becoming part of the vibrant studio atmosphere.
